Award-Winning Cannabis Grows

Welcome to my world everyone. This is my first post on my new website. Most of you already have your grow equipment but something is holding you back from getting started. Hopefully, I can share with you all the needed information so you can have award-winning Cannabis grows like myself.

I have basically been growing since I was 7 or 8 years old when my dad used to take me into the fields to trim and prune Cannabis plants all day. Most of our plants got over 10 feet and some of them got up to 20 feet. I was just a kid, they were monsters to me. I remember, they were so enormous – we used Appletree ladders to prune them.

Being Native, it’s 100% normal to grow Cannabis on reservations. We used it for EVERYTHING. Even the male Cannabis plants have many uses in my culture.

So, in today’s post, we are going to start with an indoor grow. I recommend starting with an indoor grow if you are a beginner. Grab that grow tent kit out of the closet and start now!

The law is set in every legal state to only grow a certain amount of plants. DON’T BREAK THE LAW. I can show you how to grow more weed on one plant than most could grow in 10 plants. The more weed you grow on each plant, the less need to grow more plants. Plus, fewer plants means less work for you. Don’t be tempted to grow more plants and break the law.

As my grandfather used to say about growing Cannabis – “Do more with less and you take away the stress”.

In the next steps, you’ll get some simple instructions to get those seeds into the soil and get that grow tent running efficiently.

Germination

Okay, your first step to growing Cannabis – Go germinate those seeds you’ve been keeping in a cool dark place all this time. Now is the time to bring them to life.

There are many ways to germinate Cannabis seeds. There are ways you can germinate in a paper towel, growth containers, water in cotton, water in a glass, so many ways.

If you already know how to germinate, I suggest you keep doing it if you’re comfortable with germination on your own. And read my next article.

Otherwise, here is the easiest and fastest way to germinate your seeds.

  • Get a CLEAR glass or cup. Preferably a glass. DON’T USE A GLASS OR CUP THAT HAS DARK COLOR OR YOU COULD RUN INTO ISSUES.
  • It’s ok to use tap water, but I RECOMMEND using distilled or spring water with neutral PH levels. Make sure it’s at ROOM TEMPERATURE and NOT COLD or HOT.
  • If you’re stuck using tap water that’s ok. Pour it into the glass about 2-3 inches deep. Let it sit overnight before putting the seeds in the water.
  • Now that you have ROOM TEMPERATURE water and it’s settled overnight, you’re ready to drop them in the water. Wash your hands ( you want to wash your hands right before you step into your garden area, every time. You never know when you might need to touch your precious plants or seeds. Your fingers have oils that can damage your plants.) and drop them in the water. That’s right, drop your Cannabis seeds right in that water. Your seeds are thirsty.
  • Poke the top of the seeds with your fingertip to make them sink right to the bottom. They may not budge at first. That’s ok. Give them a few hours to soak up the water. After a few hours, poke them again until they all fall to the bottom of your clear cup. Do this on repeat until all seeds are at the bottom.
  • Place the cup in a dark place that will keep it out of heat or sunlight. Note: Some people say to put them on a heater. That’s okay if you’re using a paper towel method. But not this method.
  • Now, the wait begins. Check on the seeds every 8-12 hours until they get a whitetail coming our about 1/8 inch.
  • This process will take 1-5 days. Keep check them on repeat until they are ready. Most times you’ll be planting your seeds 24 hours later. But it can take 4-7 days is some circumstances.
  • While your seeds are germinating; go set up your grow room or tent. You’ll be planting your seeds before you know it.
